The first time I went to Kamakura, I thought there could only see a giant Buddha. Kenchōji Temple.
is the most important of the five major Zen temples Kamakurze, founded in 1253r. by a Chinese Zen master, was a former seminary and is now headquartered Rinzai sect. The building dates from the mid-seventeenth century, cast in 1255r. magnificent bronze bell is classified as national treasures.
