Hase Dera Temple
comes from the early eighth century and reconstructed 1,459 years Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimasa it
(the same who built a magnificent temple in Kyoto Ginkakuji) Temple is located in a temple assembly for a beautiful garden. Near the steps leading to the temple on the west side of the band stand set up in the ranks of hundreds of statues of Jizo. Jizo is the patron of travelers and children, especially women worship him recognizing it as the guardian of the souls lost in the aborted pregnancies. The main pavilions Amida and Kannon Temple is open for visitors (most of the temples are closed). They fit great Buddha statues (unfortunately very strict non-shooting), Pavilion Canon is known for its magnificent statue jūichimen (with eleven faces) Kanon deity. Carved in 721 years with a giant camphor tree, a great gilded statue is 9m high and is the highest wooden sculpture in Japan.
